How to Use the VPN – Windows

Prior to connecting to the VPN, you will need to have the Cisco AnyConnect client installed and have ArchPass set up. Cisco AnyConnect should be installed on all ENGR computers, but ArchPass is set up through EITS.

To connect to the VPN, you will want to follow the steps below:

  1. Open Cisco AnyConnect from the start menu, and type remote.uga.edu in the address bar.
  2. Choose a VPN Group, (normal or restricted).
  3. Enter your MyID and Password.
  4. In the “Second Password” field, either enter the passcode generated in the Duo Mobile app, or type in your authentication method:
    • Push – receive push notification
    • SMS – receive passcode via text message
    • Phone – receive phone call to mobile or landline

You should now be connected to the VPN and may access resources that require the connection, such as network shares.
